This intro page is as far as I have been able to get this year - still not sure what format I want. I think I'm in a scrapping slump. I used Word Smith by Syndee Rodgers and a template from Shannon Pages.

Hopefully your scrapping slump ends soon. I've had those times too.  I like this page. It is a great into pages as it shows why we scrapbook. :D

I know what you mean about slumping, it's a bummer when that happens but somehow the magic usually comes back!   I really enjoyed your musings and "This is Why" - so true and your photo shows it all so well.    I think you're right that what really matters is you continue...  And, keep thinking and observing.  I believe the rest will come when it needs to.

Beautiful journaling. It is wonderful when our kids / grandkids pick up the old books and enjoy going through them. My son did the same thing at the holidays, and it surprised me since he is decidedly NOT sentimental. This is such a special moment that you captured, and then the way you wrote your feelings about it makes it even more special.

You've absolutely nailed the why! What a super page. I hope the positive comments from your fellow scrappers wil help to blow those slump blues away.

Love this! The simplicity of it all, and the genuine journaling really make this ultra special.

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with your journaling!  I often moan and groan in my own head about how "behind" I am with scrapping, how many more layouts and projects I'd like do, and then I wonder if it's even worth it.  But then I'll catch my kids, my husband, or my MIL flipping through albums of layouts, or staring at a layout on our digital photo frame, and I know it is worth it!  Love your layout, and the photo of the kids.

I love your photo and journaling. I think it's awesome that your grands are interested enough to look at the older scraps. I like the photo in the circle and the font is very clear to read. Lovely layout.
