In Our Garden

When I initially created this layout it was for my photobook of our home here in Whitstable. We have a ground floor apartment surrounded by the prettiest gardens which are all communal. Most of the people here are retired or older professional working couples and as such the gardens are so well kept and just so pretty. Anyway, since I took these photos, one of our neighbours who tended the gardens and these particular flowers, died. 
We got a knock on our door last week and it was our elderly neighbour asking for our help as her husband had suddenly collapsed. My dh, who is ex-military and went into immediate "take control mode" LOL, went straight over and got me to call the paramedics.
Our neighbour had had a stroke but as he fell he hit is head and also broke his hip. He died in surgery due to complications trying to fix everything. So this layout is quite poignant to us.
