That's great because internet issues and family emergency hampered my submission. Thank you so much Conda.

  9. Hi everyone! I hope you and your families are all doing well and are staying safe during these difficult times. I was out on Amazon today and noticed that PSE 2020 for both PC/MAC is on sale today only for $59. Hang in there and remember we're in this together... Keeping you all my prayers!

Hi Andrea, Mikelle, Marilynn and Diane! Thank you so much for your well wishes… So far everything is going okay at home and we are all adjusting to the mandatory stay in place. My spouse is a teacher so everything is being done through Google Classroom. Today we found out that the principal has lost six friends to the virus and more cases are now being reported in Camden County, New Jersey. My spouse teaches at Cherry Hill High School West. We were informed today that a parent from Cherry Hill High School East tested positive and had attended the West school play during the time she was considered contagious. Neither my spouse or I attended the play but so many students did. We will now just wait and see how many individuals will be affected. I hope you, your family and friends are doing well and staying safe. Thanks again and take care of yourselves!
      Hugs, Linda

Now that New Jersey is in mandatory stay in place I will have more time to try to do some scrapping. As you are aware, I am a quadriplegic paralyzed from the chest down (incomplete C4-C5). I've been blessed because in my 40 years as a quad I've never had pneumonia, flu or any other lung/breathing complications. I'm hoping and praying that I continue with my good health. Two of my private duty LPN's are still able to come as of now but may face childcare issues as daycare is now closing too. That being said, I'll be spending my time in bed because it will be easier on my spouse during this difficult time in our world. I'm so blessed and I am looking forward to seeing the projects you are all creating and sharing here in the forum. Stay safe and healthy!

I signed back into SG and when I clicked on the chat button the attached screen shot file is what I saw. Thank you Diane and Marilyn for taking the time to try and help me.

May you, your family and friends stay safe and hang in there....Hugs

  18. Amazon has PSE for $55.99 + a $10 Gift Certificate, but for today only! Look HERE.  Anyone have experience using this version? I’m tempted!

    1. LindaH57

      LindaH57

Hi Marilyn, I just saw your post…don’t know if this helps but this is what some of the upgrades are and what I thought about them. I have been using PSE 2020 for about two months. I upgraded after I got my laptop back in October. So far, no problems with my system or any upgrades from Microsoft since I installed it.

      GUIDED MODE Upgrades

      BASICS - OBJECT REMOVAL

I found this easy to use and required less steps than earlier versions.

      FUN EDITS - PATTERN BRUSH

This is a fun new edit that might catch your eye.

      SPECIAL EDITS - PERFECT PORTRAIT

If you do a lot of portrait work, this feature alone might be worth the upgrade.

      EXPERT MODE Upgrades

FILE - ORDER PRINTS - FUJIFILM Prints & Gifts

You can place an order for prints straight from inside Elements.

      ENHANCE - COLORIZE PHOTO

If you have a lot of black and white photos and you just want to quickly add color and you are not picky about accuracy, this would be a great feature.

      ENHANCE - SMOOTH SKIN

This new feature is probably my favorite. It is accurate, and it can save you time.

      SELECT - SUBJECT

You can achieve the same results in earlier versions.

  19. Down-under, our greater Sydney region is fire-rated today at the highest level of Catastrophic! High winds, no humidity, no rain, 37°C/99°F and all the bush is incredibly dry! 600 schools have been closed and it's quite smoky anyway from the terrible fires in the north of our state that have killed three and destroyed 150 homes! Our thoughts have been with the Californians as we too are going through a very dry time. Summer hasn't even arrived yet so it doesn't bode well for the next three months!

  20. I had planned on submitting some layouts for SG's 15th Anniversary but have run into a problem. After exiting last Saturday's chat, I started to work on a layout and my PSE 2019 crashed! To make a long story short I have spent a total of 72 hours with Adobe, Microsoft Windows and HP over the last 10 days trying to fix the problem. Apparently all three had done updates that seem to be conflicting with each other! I am hopeful that things will be resolved soon and I'll get my laptop back. I pray this doesn't happen to anybody else!

Thank you All for your concern, support and encouragement. I'm currently using my old computer running Windows 7...it so slow...I think a turtle runs faster than my computer lol. Hopefully I can get my computer back tomorrow and install my PSE brushes, styles, etc. Have a great evening!

Happy Monday and it should be a hot one here in Jersey! I don't know if you and your family enjoy meteor showers but there are two ( Southern Delta Aquarids & the Capricornids) tonight and early tomorrow morning that should be producing 20 to 25 meteor showers an hour.
      Have a great day!

  23. With all the ads in my local papers promoting Christmas in July sales it made me think about Christmas projects to give as gifts. My 91-year-old aunt is the last surviving member of my mom's family. I have three grand nephews and one grand niece. I would like to do a calendar for the year 2020 depicting our family (including my parents and grandparents) so my grand nephews  and grandniece could learn a little bit about our family each month. So here's my question to our fabulous designers... Are any of you planning on creating a calendar package for the year 2020? Has anybody else created a genealogy type calendar before? If so, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and have a great day!

Hi Marilyn, these are great questions and I have to chuckle because I was just discussing my printing options the other night. I'm actually doing a cost analysis to see if it would be cheaper to let Staples print my pages since I have a discount for photocopying. The only problem is that they won't use double-sided heavyweight photo paper. I have two binding machines (one for all the different sizes of the spiral plastic combs and one for all the different types of wire combs) so I plan on binding them here at home. I can print them at home because I actually have the double-sided heavyweight photo paper on hand. It's just a matter of how much ink I will use to print the calendars. It looks like I would need to print 15 copies at roughly 30 pages each. I do have a new printer that was awesome with ink usage when I printed the tickets for the Junior Formal and the new brochure for my spouse's Temple. I figure I can complete the calendar and print one copy and see how much ink it took.

I appreciate you taking the time and offering your suggestions… It definitely helps to have you, Anne-Marie, Andrea and others providing me with information, ideas and support! I really don't think you all understand how much I appreciate your help...

Thank you again and have a great day! Hugs, Linda

Good morning Anne-Marie, thank you so much for the link to the calendars. Are they 8.5 x 11? I was thinking of using two 8.5 x 11 pages... The bottom half would of course be the dates and I was going to use the top half for photos and journaling. I also thought I would include a section that would be like a Who's Who in the family.
I really do appreciate you taking the time to share that link with me… I plan on purchasing this item so I have something to work with.
Thank you again and have a great day! Hugs, Linda
