Optimal viewing time will likely be at 2 a.m. on Thursday, weather permitting.Hope it was okay to post this.

Hi Mikelle! I'm just getting to see what today's Sale*A*Bration activity is. Is it too late to join in if I don't read ahead for the different tasks? I remember from the first challenge like this that I participated in, we will be using a system for gathering our products to use. Not knowing how you are setting this up… Do you think I will have a problem since my supplies are listed first by the year, second by the month and third by the designer?
Thank you so much for any assistance you could provide me regarding this challenge.
Stay safe, be well and have a great afternoon!
Hugs, Linda-
Hi Linda, I'm so sorry I didn't see this earlier - I'm not sure how I missed it. Absolutely you can join in, any time. You don't have to post your progress in the thread, either, unless you want to, so just start the layout whenever you have time. You have a whole week to finish this layout, along with any others for Sale-A-Bration. Any layouts you complete just need to be uploaded by midnight EST on July 2nd to count toward prizes, and don't forget to add links to your layouts in the participation thread. Angie will do all the drawings on the 3rd. Please do the messy layout - they are so fun to see! Also, I decided this year to throw in a bunch of other types of tasks, rather than all numbers. For the two counting tasks, just do the best you can, depending on how you have your supplies organized.

Hi Angie and the SG community, I wasn't sure where to post my question. I was asked to become a volunteer to create greeting cards through the AARP Create the Good Volunteer Program. The cards are to be sent to Hospice patients. Here's my question… I want to honor the designers terms of service for using their products. Is it okay to use the products I purchased for personal use to use them when creating cards for this program? The cards are not being sold… They are just to make some patients feel good. If I credit the designer and the scrap girls site on the back of the card would that be sufficient? Or would I be better off making new purchases and changing the license option? Thank you so much for allowing me the time and space to ask my question. Hoping everyone is well! Hugs, Linda

@April Showers is correct. If you're making them and they are given to a group/organization for them to do as they please...then you would need the S4H license. If they are from you personally (and I understand the group/organization might be the one delivering especially due to safety reasons right now) then your fine with the personal license you have.

Hi everyone! I hope you and your families are all doing well and are staying safe during these difficult times. I was out on Amazon today and noticed that PSE 2020 for both PC/MAC is on sale today only for $59. Hang in there and remember we're in this together... Keeping you all my prayers!

Hi Andrea, Mikelle, Marilynn and Diane! Thank you so much for your well wishes… So far everything is going okay at home and we are all adjusting to the mandatory stay in place. My spouse is a teacher so everything is being done through Google Classroom. Today we found out that the principal has lost six friends to the virus and more cases are now being reported in Camden County, New Jersey. My spouse teaches at Cherry Hill High School West. We were informed today that a parent from Cherry Hill High School East tested positive and had attended the West school play during the time she was considered contagious. Neither my spouse or I attended the play but so many students did. We will now just wait and see how many individuals will be affected. I hope you, your family and friends are doing well and staying safe. Thanks again and take care of yourselves!
Hugs, Linda -
Oh Linda, How kind of you to wish us all well, that goes right back to you. How sad so many people near you are affected. This is just such a terrible thing to happen. Now the US has more cases than anywhere else! How could that happen with all the precautions we have taken...good thing we are doing the things we are doing to stay healthy.
Stay in stay safe and keep in touch.

I had planned on submitting some layouts for SG's 15th Anniversary but have run into a problem. After exiting last Saturday's chat, I started to work on a layout and my PSE 2019 crashed! To make a long story short I have spent a total of 72 hours with Adobe, Microsoft Windows and HP over the last 10 days trying to fix the problem. Apparently all three had done updates that seem to be conflicting with each other! I am hopeful that things will be resolved soon and I'll get my laptop back. I pray this doesn't happen to anybody else!

With all the ads in my local papers promoting Christmas in July sales it made me think about Christmas projects to give as gifts. My 91-year-old aunt is the last surviving member of my mom's family. I have three grand nephews and one grand niece. I would like to do a calendar for the year 2020 depicting our family (including my parents and grandparents) so my grand nephews and grandniece could learn a little bit about our family each month. So here's my question to our fabulous designers... Are any of you planning on creating a calendar package for the year 2020? Has anybody else created a genealogy type calendar before? If so, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and have a great day!

Good morning Anne-Marie, thank you so much for the link to the calendars. Are they 8.5 x 11? I was thinking of using two 8.5 x 11 pages... The bottom half would of course be the dates and I was going to use the top half for photos and journaling. I also thought I would include a section that would be like a Who's Who in the family.
I really do appreciate you taking the time to share that link with me… I plan on purchasing this item so I have something to work with.
Thank you again and have a great day! Hugs, Linda -
Hi Marilyn, these are great questions and I have to chuckle because I was just discussing my printing options the other night. I'm actually doing a cost analysis to see if it would be cheaper to let Staples print my pages since I have a discount for photocopying. The only problem is that they won't use double-sided heavyweight photo paper. I have two binding machines (one for all the different sizes of the spiral plastic combs and one for all the different types of wire combs) so I plan on binding them here at home. I can print them at home because I actually have the double-sided heavyweight photo paper on hand. It's just a matter of how much ink I will use to print the calendars. It looks like I would need to print 15 copies at roughly 30 pages each. I do have a new printer that was awesome with ink usage when I printed the tickets for the Junior Formal and the new brochure for my spouse's Temple. I figure I can complete the calendar and print one copy and see how much ink it took.
I appreciate you taking the time and offering your suggestions… It definitely helps to have you, Anne-Marie, Andrea and others providing me with information, ideas and support! I really don't think you all understand how much I appreciate your help...
Thank you again and have a great day! Hugs, Linda

Awwww... It’s a pleasure working with you Linda and that’s what we do here at SG as you know! That’s great idea that you have the ability to print yourself at home, I’ve done binding but not something that large. Have you taken a look in the Calendar section in the Boutique? Brandy Mury used to do one each year and if you like her blended tops, you can always switch out the bottoms for the correct dates. All you need to do is find a month with the starting date on the right day of the week and use that one. For instance for July now, you’d find a month that started the 1st on a Monday, ending with the 31st on a Thursday. Sometimes you might have to erase or add a date at the end of the month, but it’s a fairly easy way to make older calendars work for the year you are using. HERE’S Brandy’s 2018 calendar; you can find others HERE to look through, too. The one Anne Marie shares has lots of possibilities! Let me know if this doesn’t make sense, I LOVE your idea and what a special gift it will be. Please be sure to post your pages so we can see!

Good morning, Today is starting out to be a beautiful day here at the Jersey Shore! I started the day by watching the sunrise at point Pleasant Beach. As some of you know, I'm a quadriplegic so getting to the beach at sunrise is extremely difficult. I thought I would share with you the link for the live beach cam in case anybody is interested in watching a sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. I hope you all have a great day!
https://jenkinsons.com/beach-cam/For those of you who might enjoy Penguins, there is a link on the beach cam page for a live feed to the Penguins at the Jenkinson aquarium.

Hi Debby, you are certainly correct with regards to New Jersey beaches . I love watching the sunrise when I go out on the early morning fishing boat… Nothing like watching the sun come up and having the Dolphins swim along the boat… Life is good!
I'm so glad to hear you had a great time on your cruise to Cuba. I can't wait to check out the gallery for your layouts with your photos from Cuba.
I hope all is well with you… Have a great evening!
Hugs, Linda

Good morning, I have a general question about layouts, challenges and requirements since I am just starting to create and post. So, when asked for a certain number of papers, embellishments, etc... An item cannot be duplicated and counted... Is this correct? Thank you for all the help you continue to provide me and other new scrappers! SG rocks!!

Hi Linda! We had a nice day in West Orange, too; my car registered over 50º at one point! You can ask on the challenge thread, but most likely you should use 5 different papers for fun and the challenge! Some ideas are you can cut up one paper and use strips on your page, or even use one as a border around the layout. Or you can even clip one to a frame, the possibilities are endless!
-
Marilyn cleared it up I think and like she said there are no scrapping police so not to worry. You could use a paper twice and adjust the hue or saturation a little on one and that would work too.
I see you are from Tom's River our last boat was a Mainship and they used to make them there. We actually went there a few times on our boat years ago, we always had fun there.

Good morning, I'm not sure this is the right spot on the forum page to post this question… But if I am incorrect I apologize to you all. My question is… as some of you know I am a quadriplegic which means I don't have use of my hands... So I don't own a cell phone. My aunt is 91 years old and lives in Oriental, NC. Lately she has been saying that she wants to see me while we talk on the telephone. I know I could use Skype with my PC and I had bought her a laptop in July but to be honest I have noticed that she is becoming more forgetful and don't think the laptop will be a good solution for her. I am looking for suggestions on what I could purchase that would enable my aunt and I to converse face-to-face. Thank you so much!

Hi Linda, do you have an iPad or iPod or any Apple device or does she? Facetime is easy and if you both have one and you initiated the call, all she’d have to do is answer. I just did this Sunday with no issues. But, you can only use with Apple products. I used to use Skype from my Macbook with no issues too.

Good afternoon, I have a quick question...I'm scrapping at the 8.5x11 size because my family finds that size easier to keep and store. My question is does a LO have to be a 12x12 in order to post it to the Gallery? Thank you for any assistance you can provide me. Have a great afternoon!

Good evening, I was backing up some of my older folders and came across the suggested organization list that Ro had given to anyone who was interested in it. I remember a couple weeks ago someone (sorry I don't remember who it was) was asking if anyone remembered how the organization of supplies was written. If anybody is interested, please let me know. Have great evening!

Good Afternoon SG! I'm looking for program to purchase/use to compress & extract/unzip files instead of using the one that came within Windows 10. Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

Warning Points? I went to change my Pic & saw 0 Warning Points under my name. What are they and have I done something wrong to have placed on my Members page?

My brothers had gotten me a membership to an online cloud system to store all my scrapbooking files. It is in the process of uploading my files from external hard drive yesterday and personal assistant who is working accidentally unplugged my external drive while I was uploading. I shut down my computer and reattached USB cable and when I rebooted my system I got an error message. Message said your drive may contain damaged files and do you want to scan and fix? I checked a Microsoft website...
