  1. Thank you so much Conda for hosting this wonderful swap every month! I hope you're feeling much better! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in this month's recipes… My family will definitely be treated to some brand-new recipes thanks to you all!

  2. Strawberry Milkshake Pie

My nana use to make this with a graham cracker crust and when waffle cones came along she changed her crust for a different  take on this Summer treat! If you don't have fresh strawberries you can use frozen with this in mind...If using frozen strawberries, thaw and then chop to see how juicy and sweet they are. If they are super juicy and sweet, do not add sugar. If you want them a little sweeter, start with 2 tablespoons of sugar, mix together and let strawberries sit for 10 and check again.

  3. Good morning Marilyn and Belle,
I am so happy that I was able to provide you with some information regarding extractions and background removal using the Guided Section in PSE. Sharing information, providing feedback on layouts and just the warm and friendly atmosphere here Scrap Girls are some of the reasons why I have been here and purchasing items since 2007. I cannot count how many times fellow members have helped me with answering my questions, provided feedback on my layouts and just the constant encouragement to just go for it and create away... Including getting me to try to design outside of my comfort zone and to think outside the box!
Thank you so much to Angie and all for making Scrap Girls the fantastic community that it is!
Stay safe, be well and have a great day! Hugs, Linda

  4. Good morning Belle, thank you so much for your kind remark regarding my extraction. Please let me know how you found working in the guided section to complete an extraction. I'd be interested to know how an able-bodied person found that feature to work with on your extraction. This way, I could pass the information along to others if I'm asked. Thank you so much, stay safe, be well and have a great day! Hugs, Linda 🤗

  5. Good afternoon,
I noticed the question about background remover (extractions) so I checked out the links for the videos. After watching the videos, I realized with my physical disability (I am a quadriplegic so I don't have use of my hands and use a mouth-stick) this would not be an option for me. I recently discovered that in the newer versions of Photoshop Elements there is a section on the top of the screen called Guided. Once you click on Guided and then go to the next screen and click Special Edits you will see a selection for Background Remover. When you enter the workspace you have a variety of choices as to how to select your subject matter, whether to add a new background or leave it a transparent background (so you can save it as a PNG file), change the positioning of you the subject or the background, soften the edges of your subject and you can even auto match the color tone so you can blend your subject with your background. You also have the option once you've made your background removal/extraction decisions to save it or to continue editing it in Quick or Expert mode.

I am teaching myself how to use PSE just by going through the different tools and the options available within the program itself. I've included my first layout that I did using the Background Remover in the Guided section in my PSE 2020 for Windows. I extracted this Doe from a group of four others. I found using this extraction tool fairly easy to use with my mouth stick. I just thought I would pass information along in case you are thinking of upgrading your software down the road.
Stay safe, be well and have a great day!

  6. My Red and Pink layout Kenley

When I was in one of my office cabinets I came across a stack of orders from SG on CDs. I thought they had been accidentally tossed by a former employee. Imagine my surprise when I found them! I am going through the CDs and using kits I have never used. Unfortunately, some of the files were lost during the process of being de-compressed. I lost some of the files I used from the kit I used here.

  7. The original recipe is from my Nana (Esther Jones-Adams) who told me that during hard times she took the original recipe and instead of cooking individual hotdogs they were sliced and placed in a mini muffin. I change the flour to a gluten-free flour when I make these for family gatherings because my niece requires a gluten-free diet.

I decided to use a Super Bowl theme for this card since this recipe makes a great finger food snack.

Linda-please go ahead an send me the recipe to include with the swap.  (even if you don't post the recipe in the gallery!!)  My awful (😂) project is complete.

Congratulations Conda! :congrats3:   I'm sending you the recipe now. Thank you.

The gallery may be a little different for you Linda.  After you select your image for upload, click on the image, then there should be an area on the right to type in products used, etc.  Then click "save details" prior to clicking "submit image".  I'm knee deep in a year end report/filing (GAH!) so I can't do screenshots to help.  Please post back here if you need help and I will be back after while.  (Hopefully sooner rather than later if my online submission goes smoothly!!)  But first, I need coffee.

    Hi Conda,
Thank you so much for taking the time from your busy day to answer my request for help. I wasn't sure what to do so I didn't post the recipe or submitted it to you for inclusion. I'll wait and see what the recipe for February is and will be try to post that card over the weekend to see what happens.
Is it possible to go back and delete where I said I was posting my soup recipe? Thank you Conda.

Good morning, I forgot to post the recipe last night. Thai Coconut Chicken Soup.

Did the page change to add the recipes or am I crazy? Do I now put the products used where the Drop Down Bar said Set credit on all? Thank you for any assistance you can provide me.

    Good morning Marilyn.

Thank you for reaching out to me but I can't find your message. I clicked on the link in the email that came but I still didn't see the message. I came back here and heard the beep that said I had a message from you but I can't find it. I know I've been away for a while and I need to get my bearings straight while trying to move around the website again.

I hope you and your aunt doing well during the snowstorm. I hope you have everything you need a case you are snowed in for a day or so. Right now the snow has switched to rain. Stay safe and be well! Hugs to you! Look

Hey lady good to see you here.

    I'll join in this month

Hi Debby, thank you so much and it definitely is nice to be back. I hope you and your husband are enjoying your new RV and are planning some exciting adventures in the future. My parents loved being on the road with their RV as they traveled around the country. Stay safe and be well.
