She was 1 in a million. Sending prayers.

I had just finished reading the well researched and beautifully written book, The Palace Papers, when I decided to have a quick look at the online news before I turned off the light. The report that the Queen's health was under medical supervision was an ominous warning that all was not well. When they even went so far as to inform the British parliament as such, I knew that they must be preparing us for her imminent death. So, I couldn't really sleep. I kept checking the news waiting for the inevitable, when it finally came. That I should have been reading that particular book at the time was a massive coincidence but it really affected me so much more because I finished it within hours of her death. She was five years older than my own mother who passed away in Feb 2020 and they looked a bit alike. I feel like we have lost our country's grandmother. It's the end of an era and I am so sad that she is gone.
