  1. @Laura  I love all of the prompts!  😃. I’m excited to get started with PL 2021, and like I did in 2018 for my first year of PL, I’d like to do the daily prompts this year as much as possible.  I think they made my weekly layouts much more interesting.  They’re a challenge to keep up with, but it’s worth it.

Now... I just need to finish 2020... and, um, 2019...

  2. The last Tuesday of 2020!  We made it this far, for better or worse.  It's been a tough year for most of us, with changes to routine life that we never anticipated at the beginning of the year.  But, scrapping isn't just about recording the happy times, it's to record everything, the good, bad, happy, and sad.

Our challenge this week is to recap 2020.  You can do this in a few different ways: By highlighting just the positive events (if you can't bring yourself to focus on the negative), highlighting the challenges you've faced this year (and maybe how you are overcoming them), or by covering both highs and lows of this year.

When your layout is complete, upload it to the Weekly Newsletter Challenge Gallery, then come back to this thread to leave a link to your layout so that we can all admire it!  Remember to also leave a link to your layout in the December Challenges thread in the Home for the Holidays Event if you're participating in that (please come participate, it's not too late!)

Thanks Mikelle! We are all recovered except dh's smell and taste are still very faint. We had mild cases thank God. We think dh caught it at work.

Our neighbors just recovered from it.  They also had mild cases, thank goodness.

  4. Here are the quotes for Week 4 - can you believe this Christmas Season is flying by so fast?  I know some of us have had our Christmas plans thrown to bits at the last minute, but try to distract yourself for a while by scrapping with our quotes this week:

A:  May you never be too grown up to search the skies on Christmas Eve
B:  One of the most glorious  messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas Day.  Don’t clean it up too quickly - Andy Rooney

Post your finished layouts in the Home For The Holidays gallery.  As you complete your layouts, come back to your post and add a link to the corresponding week's layout(s).  Remember, you may create more than one layout a week, but to be eligible for prizes, you must have at least one layout per week.

Remember: The quote does not have to appear on your layout, but if it doesn’t please let us know which quote you used (A or B) for inspiration

I will be watching the thread this week, so if you have any questions please ask.

  5. Christmas is all about SPARKLE!  Lights, candles, tinsel, glitter...  This week, create a layout showing us a little sparkle - Christmas sparkle in your photos, or throw some glitter on your layout, or any way you can think to make your layout sparkle and shine.

When your layout is complete, upload it to the Weekly Newsletter Challenge Gallery, then come back to this thread to leave a link to your layout so that we can all admire it!  Remember to also leave a link to your layout in the December Challenges thread in the Home for the Holidays Event if you're participating in that (please come participate!)

  6. Hi Margaux, welcome to Scrap Girls!  How old are your boys?  I have two girls, 11 and almost 14.  Not so little anymore.  Glad you’re here.  Ask questions whenever you need to, we’ve got a helpful bunch. Once you’re comfortable, join in on the layout challenges, we’d love for you to participate!

  7. WINNER UPDATE!  Terri (terriscrapper) has won the $5 gift certificate!  Send an email to Angie at prizes@scrapgirls.com to claim your prize.  Awesome job everyone, I love the ornaments!

Our Christmas tree is looking a little bare... Help us by decorating one of the below ornaments for our tree.  It’s easy to play, just choose which of the 3 ornaments you want to decorate, then right click on it and save it to your desktop.  Decorate your ornament and then upload it to the Create an Ornament Gallery.

Don't forget to list the supplies you used for your ornament; links to current SG products are awesome (no outside links), and you may also use retired SG supplies.  Once you've uploaded your ornament to the gallery, come back here and leave a link to your decoration in this thread so we can include your name in the drawing.  One lucky random winner will get a $5 gift certificate!  You have until midnight ET on December 14th to complete and post your ornament.

Ready?  Choose one of the following ornaments, right click on it and save it to your desktop.  Have fun decorating!
