  1. 7 more working days and then I retire! 36 years at my job. I will miss it - but looking forward to a new chapter.

  2. I’m so sorry to report the loss of our dear friend Becky (Becster) who has passed away. My heart hurts. ?

Wow, this is such a shock. Her poor family...I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

  3. Fire update: We have been put back into level 1. Suppose to start raining sometime tonight with showers and sprinkles on and off for the next 4 days. Smoke is terrible. Wind is blowing from the west and will help us, but I feel for all those on the East side of the state....

  4. Scrapping again for the first time since hubby was placed in hospice care. It's like starting all over again. I have a new pc, I went from PSE9 to PSE 2020... talk about hunt and peck! Picking up with the first week in September for Project Life, and will go back and fill in the missing weeks a few at a time. I missed you all.❤️

  5. Just went to level 2. Getting everything loaded. Friends not to far from us are level 3. What a difference a few hours make. Will keep in touch as things allow.

  6. Had a windstorm Monday evening.  Spent all day yesterday cleaning up in part the yard. No damage, but lots of mess with branches from a half dead tree in neighbor's yard. Will spend today cleaning up the rest of the yard. Also just learned we are in a level one evacuation order for fires burning not too terribly far (20 miles) from us. There are fires burning all around in our area. The wind is still blowing, just not as hard. Will get all our necessary items and precious things together and stored in our little RV just in case. Not going to wait until the last minute.

I hope you don't have to evacuate and I'm glad you aren't waiting until the last minute to prepare if you do. Those fires are scary!

  7. This evening it will be 62 years that my father walked me down the aisle and I promised to love and cherish my best friend.? The years have gone SO fast!

On a sadder note we've had our first family covid death.

  8. Spent yesterday visiting Colby's college and getting all the final paperwork done before he moves in on the 16th

  9. Yesterday we said our final goodbyes to our beloved son, taken too soon. We had a lovely service attended by family & friends as well as a live stream for those who were unable to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions. Our daughter, my brother & their families watched on from Western Australia. Further investigations are being carried out as to the cause. We may not have answers for a few months if we ever do.

  10. We got to have the boys graduation party yesterday, and on the 12th they will have an outdoor graduation.

  11. Covid has taught me my teens think they can sleep like vampires and keep odd schedules. ? Or maybe that's just because they're teens.

  12. Anybody bite off a bit more than they expected? For Bingo there is a prompt to make a list. There is one I have been wanting to make for some time. Great time to get to it and then scrap it. Subject? Make a list of all the roses I have in my yard. Sounds simple right. Wrong. First, I didn't realize how many roses I had -- 33. Second I couldn't remember all their names. Have spent the last 3 days cataloging and looking up names of roses. But I do have my list with all their names!! Now to get it into a scrap page, or 2, or 3, 33 is a lot of roses.

  13. I had to put my cat Tini to sleep Thursday. He was not doing well: not eating, incontinent, crying and not walking very well. I miss him and I was with him when they put him to sleep, so that his mommy was the last one he saw.00021030.thumb.jpg.42e9e40919298058c108075fbbe8bbd0.jpg

  14. Officially the last day of high school for the boys.

  15. Fun chat ladies!!  Thank you!

  16. Update on gallery:  They have restarted the gallery and it's working right now, so you can upload.  BUT this is just a fix.  We need to update the forum/gallery...and that's something i'm hoping can wait until Monday after this weekend is over.  So i'll keep an eye on it.

  17.  5 minutes to chat time!  :) Don’t forget to pick your Zoo items HERE if you haven’t already!   :)

  18. And the official word today that graduation has been postponed...not cancelled yet, but I would not be surprised

  19. I really need to get scrapping...  It’s raining today.   Rain+Social Distancing = Scrapping.    Right???

  20. This Coronavirus sucks! DH is a freelancer and has lost 3 weeks of work due to cancelled events. We have opted to cancel our trip to Barcelona in May. Even if travel is allowed by then he may have work to make up for the work he's lost now. Our Walmart has run out of masks, hand sanitzer, rubbing alcohol, and toilet paper! So crazy!

Our school cancelled our softball spring break trip last night and we are waiting to hear what they are going to do with the entire season. The State Track tournament was cancelled and that's not until May! We have a big trip planned in June and things better be over by then!

  21. Hello, friends!  After a long absence and some major life changes, I'm going to try to jump back into scrapping. You wouldn't believe my journey over the last year, and it's all been a positive!  Hopefully I'll dust the camera off an get some photos of my new surrounds. Looking forward to all the fun here on SG!

  23. The way it's looking I don't think the kids will go to school this week.  Monday = holiday, Tuesday canceled due to ice on country roads, Wed more snow and ice coming.  UGH

  24. Three years ago today Jody died.  Darren and the boys are well and the boys are growing into young men, “Jody would be proud of”.  Aidan graduated from High School in December and Callan is now 16 ½.  Amazing how time flies.  Darren is touched when I say how Jody is still remembered on ScrapGirls and even recognizes the names when I show him.  She touched so many and is sorely missed... ?

Wow, three years, if feels like less. She touched so many people around the world. Thanks for the update on Darren and the boys.

  25. Pantone's color of the year for 2020 is "Classic Blue." Pantone 19-4052. What do you think of it?

I like it. I haven't liked the colors in the recent past, so it's nice to see a bright blue. I'm more of a basic colors girl!
