Mine was just a cleaning also. But I have 2 old fillings (we are talking I got when I was late teens/early 20's) that need to be redone. 1 no issue, the other he's afraid is too big, and won't leave much tooth left so he wants to put a crown on it instead. I understand doing that because the tooth in front of it I had the same issue 18 years ago. It broke because it was an old filling that went bad and softened the tooth. We tried to save it, and after trying everything ended up with a root canal/crown anyway.

This is the 2nd thing I have seen about the 85mm lens. Is it the new 50 mm? That was all the rage for portrait photography when I started, but I can't give up my lenses with a range, lol. My style of photography is more "in the moment" though. I need the variations of lengths. I love your techniques lately! Especially the carnival ones.

I got an 85 1.8 two years ago to do a wedding. Our church is quite dark inside, I've had trouble getting good shots inside. When I was asked to take photos, I was terrified to mess it up, lol. The 85 was recommended. It took me a bit to get used to the single length. Now I love it and use it a lot. During the past year and half I've told my grand kids it's my "social distance lens" lol! They had to be at least 6 felt away from me to get focussed.

@Laura I use my 28-75 99% of the time. Love the flexibility of it, and I don't have to carry around different lenses depending on the area i'm in. BUT Sony has discontinued their Amount cameras and lenses. I had been wanting one, and I have a wedding in a few months the f1.4 will be handy for. This was just way to good of a bargain to pass up. I do also have a 50mm 1.8, that's about 30 years old and was one of my dad's original Minolta lenses. My powder paint session I used that...and loved it

Does anyone use Lightroom? I'm such a PS person that I've not used it for editing photos, but man it's a great program!

I had always used it for some basic edits: straitening, white balance, etc and to get rid of the ones I didn't want. But I always did most of my editing in PS I was just so much more used to it. I think it was a case of not having time to sit down and learn more about it, it was just easy to use what I knew. But I've played alot these last few days and it was like lightbulb went off. I will still probably use PS for some of the edits...but will use LR for so much more.

My Friday was awful (received our yearly property tax invoice, paid a fortune at the vet for dog stuff and then both computers went dead) and I had some kind of stomach bug that took about 12 hrs to pass. But luckily by the end of the day I found out the computers were fine, it was the power surge battery backup unit that malfunctioned. It could have been so much more expensive to fix/replace 2 computers so was relieved that buying two new surge units was all it took. Saturday has been a much better day

Asking for a friend....Don't you just want to go hide in a corner and cry sometimes (of course with a bag of chocolate)
