How do I find April's tutorial on recoloring?

Thank you for all that information. It's a real blessing. I'm looking for some inexpensive lighting. I'm photographing antique brooches. Is it best to take them looking down. I do have an inexpensive macro lens. I'll be using all your wonderful information and I plan on doing lots of practice. Thank you, everyone.

I'm using Elements 11. All the books I can find concentrate on photography with Elements, not digital scrapbooking. I'm taking pictures of pins (jewelry) and flowers with a new dslr and can't find how to remove the background to turn them into elements. It's probably something obvious that I'm overlooking, but I can't figure it out. I used to know how but that was many years ago when I used Elements 5 (showing my age, huh). Please help me get going again. Thanks, girls. I'm sure this is only the first of many questions as I go along. I know someone can help me. Karen

Couldn't find a place for camera questions so trying here. Got a dslr for Christmas and I want to take pics to turn into elements. I have a pin collection, antique and new. Is it best to photograph them on black or white to make it easiest to take out the background? How to I get the pins or flowers to stay up on the background? What kind of light should I purchase for my camera? Or maybe someone could point me to some sites that might be good for this type of information? Thanks for all help. Karen

I'm an old timer from when Scrapgirls was first formed. I was active for quite a while, then life got in the way. Life has settled wayyy down now so I'm trying to ease back in. Totally in over my head! The last Elements program I had was 5, now I'm trying to wade through 11. Wow, have tyhings changed. I think I'm back to babysteps again. I have so many questions. How to use Elements 11? I got a dslr camera for Christmas and can't figure it out either. I'll look around till I can figure out where to ask my questions, then unleash on you all. I know someone here can help me. Scrapgirls are always eager to help. My "stash" is all from 2012 and before so I'm trying to build back up. Hope to get to know you and have some fun.
