I’m definitely a fan of templates, particularly when I want to showcase a number of pictures. And creating a cluster of embellishments keeps the overall layout clean. This layout made it simple to stack papers per the third challenge of the week, and textures are so simple with papers and brushes, too! Only in digital can I manipulate my own pictures to spotlight just one or two colors AND recolor an embellishment to the precise shade of yellow. The brush work isn't messy, and I can get the precise colors I want without investing in massive quantities of ink. Gotta love digital scrapping!! I selected 12 of the 14 colors to back each photo in this template. The subjects are so full of color, the backgrounds just enhance them. Journaling: "My first day in Florida was also the only day during my stay that the Magic Kingdom would be open until 11PM. Once I realized that, I decided to spend my first evening at Walt Disney World in this park. It’s also rather nostalgic to start my vacation in this park, since it’s the first (and only) park I visited when the family came here in 1972, the year after Walt Disney World opened. "This parade, Disney’s Electrical Parade, was run twice in the evening before the park closed, so I stuck around and watched (and photographed) both runs. I loved it that Tinker Bell led the way for the entire convoy. And seeing Elliot from Pete’s Dragon made my Disney heart squee with delight!" It's hard to limit myself to ten photos, but I picked all of my character greeting images so far... I have one more day in the Happiest Place on Earth. We'll see who else I can find! Journaling reads: "5 days - 4 parks - so many wonderful memories! I splurged on a package to receive all the photos taken by the Disney photographers, so I was sure to have awesome pictures with myself in them! Being the photographer, I rarely make it into my own images. And visiting the parks by myself would have made it so much harder if the resort didn’t offer this fantastic service! "This wasn’t quite the vacation I’d planned, but that didn’t make it any less perfect! Now I can relive the memories time & time again through my pictures. I also love the extras I can add to the images - I’ll probably play more with that feature for a while!" This is the featured layout for ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Iconographic. The template includes a "crease" to give it dimension. I added deep shadows under the photos to enhance the dimension. I blended a photo of the big EPCOT ball in the background to help us remember where the photos were taken. I let the graph tell the story. This was a really fun day and I wanted a special layout, but it came together relatively quickly with the help of the templates.
