My son and his wife and five children spent Christmas in London and Paris this year. This is a photo of my granddaughter, Maggie Jane, sightseeing in London. I did this for a challenge with numbers and a jigsaw pattern. My daughter and her friends took a Disney trip in 2016, so I used 16 for my number and photos of the kids with their mouths open (like the Didney Worl! memes that are popular on the internet right now). These kids are such hams! And that's my girl under the butterfly with her mouth wide open . . . Ginny's kit was so bright and cute for this – I knew I would get good use out of it! I selected 12 of the 14 colors to back each photo in this template. The subjects are so full of color, the backgrounds just enhance them. Journaling: "My first day in Florida was also the only day during my stay that the Magic Kingdom would be open until 11PM. Once I realized that, I decided to spend my first evening at Walt Disney World in this park. It’s also rather nostalgic to start my vacation in this park, since it’s the first (and only) park I visited when the family came here in 1972, the year after Walt Disney World opened. "This parade, Disney’s Electrical Parade, was run twice in the evening before the park closed, so I stuck around and watched (and photographed) both runs. I loved it that Tinker Bell led the way for the entire convoy. And seeing Elliot from Pete’s Dragon made my Disney heart squee with delight!" I designed these map pointers with the Iconic Embellishments in mind, but they are also great with photos inserted into the windows like I've done here. This was a fun way to scrap a few photos of our trip to Key West last summer. While it's just an abstract map, it still gives the impression that we toured the city during our time there. This is the featured layout for ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Iconographic. The template includes a "crease" to give it dimension. I added deep shadows under the photos to enhance the dimension. I blended a photo of the big EPCOT ball in the background to help us remember where the photos were taken. I let the graph tell the story. This was a really fun day and I wanted a special layout, but it came together relatively quickly with the help of the templates. I did this page for my grandson, Ben. He and his mom went on a trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. I decided to do this page so as the years go by Ben can look back and recall all the special places he visited growing up. I used filter effects, outline styles and shadows on this page. This is the same layout. The only difference is that I put separate pictures in the frames. Similar to the way you would flip thought photos where only parts were showing. You get the idea. I actually wonder if this is the way it was supposed to be put together. Any feedback will be appreciated. -
