SallyA Posted May 14, 2008 Share Posted May 14, 2008 Last month I had problems trying to use Carbonite because I'm on satellite and I exceeded my Fair Access Policy on uploads. I went to Staples and bought a Maxtor One Touch 4 external hard drive to do backups. Now, my problem is that I'm getting the following error message on all my Scrap Girls products I'm trying to back up. "Not Supported/File skipped (backup of hidden files and folders is not supported)" Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sprinklz Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 If I remember correctly, Carbonite doesn't support external hard drives so that may be the problem. I think Acronis does work with EHDs though (i have and use both of these, but it's been a while since i set mine up. if nothing else, this will bump up your question to the top). April Showers Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 You're just trying to back-up your files onto you EHD, right? Did it come pre-formatted? Most do, some don't. You may need to format the EHD. Not sure if that is your problem or not since my computer guru is at a scout activity right now. Good luck!
