🥳 Happy 2023!! 🥳

This month's recipe swap theme is Souper Soups and Stews.  I don't know about you, but I love simmering a big old pot of soup all day and then enjoying it for a few days.  How about you?

To participate in the Recipe Swap, please email your 4"x6" high resolution (300 dpi saved a high quality - (1200 x 1800 pixel) Recipe Card to sg.sodscrap@gmail.com by MIDNIGHT, Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Each month you submit a recipe you will receive a $2 gift certificate.  If you submit a recipe each month during the quarter you will receive a $5 gift certificate.  And, if you participate each month all year, at the end of the year you will receive a $15 gift certificate! As a bonus this year, will be doing a bonus theme once each quarter that will be posted the last quarter of the month. Stay tuned!

  • PLEASE REMEMBER THIS: It is easiest for me if you use your name or user name + the Recipe name (SodScrap_YummyFood) as the file name on your recipe. (I may change it to make it easier for me to track if you don't.)
  • You are welcome to submit more than one recipe. Please do!
  • Please post your recipe in the Recipe Card Gallery and post a link in this thread.
  • After I have compiled the recipes, you will receive a link to download the recipe cards from all our participants. You must send in a card to get the link!  Please remember the link is active for 7 days

It is summer here but I will be keeping an eye out for soup ideas ready for when it is winter here.

I even like soup in the summer although it isn't as common.  I know there are even some cold soups, but I can't quite get on board with those.  Surely you have a trusty favorite you can share.  Today is a good soup day here.  It's still gloomy and windy.  I'm not sure where the sunshine is, but we haven't seen it since Sunday!

I'm not a huge fan of soup myself unless it's so thick it's really not soup 🤣, but I like making it and it for sure has been a soup week here - so dreary and rainy!
But, I DO have a great new soup recipe I made last winter and have been waiting for the soup month to scrap.  Plus, I made my Aunt's great Zucchini soup yesterday and need to scrap that again, it's been awhile since I have and it's a winner!

(Quite a lot of soup for someone who professes not to like it!  😱)

Hey Ladies!  I'm back from my trip and will catch up later today or tomorrow.  I was sick the before I left and maybe have something different on the way home so I might be slow in catching up!

Oh dear...  I've been thinking of you all week Conda and hoping you were enjoying yourself.    I hope it was fun anyway and at least you had some healthy time in between?

No worries about catching up, take your time.   I have another recipe to scrap later.

Take care!   @SodScrap

@MariJ I DID enjoy myself.  It was beautiful.  Amazing.  I knew getting in late Sunday night was going to make a Monday workday a drag (LOL)...I wore my "I'm on island time" shirt to work today as I rolled in at 9:30.  🤣  I can't wait for my husband to see it. 🙊 This really just hit me late Saturday, so it was just the travel day on Sunday that I didn't feel great.  That day was a lot of "hurry up and waiting".

I never did get to that recipe, started it this morning and too tired to finish now!   @SodScrap

I won't send them out early, so if you work on it tomorrow, you can send it in.  (No pressure though!). I am still waiting to receive some recipes that were posted but not sent.

It's not often I contribute here!

Back of the fridge minestrone is great for using up tired lookg veg left over from the holidays. It's really filling too and if you stick to just veg very healthy and low-calorie. I'm using this a lot in my intermittent fasting regime. The recipe is here.

I'm so happy you joined us this month, Hilary!  Hope to see you next month as well!
