A-M
Welcome to our monthly game or should we call it "challenges". This month it is a Photo Challenge. You will be required to take current photos for the four challenges during this month. I do prefer not to see stock photos from the internet used. Please if possible take a photo today or this week for this challenge. Now if that is definitely not possible I will accept a past photo you personally have taken that fits the requirement only if you have not scrapped a page with it before. On the 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of this month, February, I will share a requirement for the photo I want you to take so during the month you will be taking four different photos. Please share your photo each week. To do this click on "reply" and then you will see a paper clip image and the words "Drag files here to attach or Choose files "- click on "choose files" and you can then find your photo on your computer - then it will show as a small image and you click on that to add the photo to your reply. If you feel the photo is too large for the forum - double click on it and change the size. I usually make mine about 200 in the first size box. You can straight away create your page and share it in the Hodge Podge Gallery HERE and share the link in this thread. But you do have until the end of the month ( 11.59pm 28th February) to create your layouts. As there are four challenges you will need to create four different layouts to be eligible for the major prizes. You will see in my sample page that you can add other photos to your page if you need to. Now for the prizes: For those who complete all four layouts following the four different instructions, there will be three winners. Your names will go into a random draw for one $10 gift certificate and two $5 gift certificates. For those who do not complete all four layouts, your names will go into a draw for one $3 gift certificate. I am going to start sharing the instructions for your first photo in the next post, then will add the others as the month progresses.
A-M
Here are the weekly instructions for the photos you will need to take if you want to participate in this challenge. Week 1: Take a photo LOOKING UP Here are a few samples I found on the internet: I do like the Cat looking up and an easy idea would be to take a selfie of yourself looking up at the sky or in the house. You could create a art journal type page about you looking up into the future or maybe share a dream. Here is my photo: and my page in the gallery The Faraway Tree
A-M
Week 2 : Take a photo - LOOKING DOWN Here are some inspiration I found on the internet: Here is my photo: and you can find my page in the gallery HERE

KristiM
This sounds fun! Please count me in. One question though... are these supposed to be new photos that you take just for the challenge or any photos you have taken that qualify for the weekly topic and then we make a new layout using it? Florida granny
Sounds like a fun month! I took a photo in January that I'd like to use, but, like KristiM, above, I want to know if the photo needs to be taken just for this challenge. The instructions say "current" photo, so I guess I'm asking how current? Thanks, Anne-Marie!
Amy D
Count me in too - I guess I'll have to go outside to get some qualifying pix, or go on A LOT of virtual trips! (Oh darn, hahaha!)

Kristi, I would prefer it to be a new photo but if that is not possible and you have a photo you personally have taken and not scrapped before you can use that.

A-M
@Amy D There are lots of things in the house that you can look up to! Also if you have a pet that would work - see one of the samples I showed that I found on the internet. If you live alone - your next visitor can be looking up for you. Nothing that vivid or colorful around here, I'd have to look in a zoo! 😊

ladyscrapalot
I'll give this a go. I haven't been scrapping lately so it will be good to get back to it. This is what we have been dealing with for the last 3 days. Texan don't do well with ice storms. Thankfully it's going to start warming up and we'll be in the 6o's by the weekend.
