Blending papers is one of those techniques that really sings in digital scrapbooking.

The use of purchased tools like masks, overlays and paper or layout templates make it easy to blend two or more papers. Layered templates even take most of work out of this task. Plus, possibilities for changing up the look of a background are endless with switching out papers or combining, rotating or reversing the layers. A tiny investment  in a layered template can reap countless rewards. There are hundreds of templates in the ScrapGirls Shop that feature products to accomplish creative blending, especially in the Layout Templates section and the Paper Templates section. However, sometimes the best blended solution for a layout is simply reducing the opacity of a portion of layered papers and letting a pattern bleed through.

Your challenge this week is to blend two or more papers, using any technique or tools you like. Please post your layout in the Weekly Newsletter Gallery and place a link in the thread below. Don't forget to post in the May Challenge Chase, for the 25% off coupon!
