Ad Challenge- 4/3/06

My take on the Advertisement-based challenge posed at today's high noon crop. I kept the two-color concept, the general layout, but substituted to framed snippets of pictures for two of the three columns of text, and used blocks of brown to pick up the logo bits at the bottom.

 

Of course, after I'd closed everything out I realized I hadn't added a single drop-shadow, so that will get done at a later date. I also might go back and actually add the name of the zydeco band in the main picture.

The large photo above is balanced nicely with the two framed photos and journaling below. The blue and brown combination works really well with this photo. Sounds like you had a great time!

I love the clear, large photo of the band and the accent elements below it. You did a really good job on this challenge. (Aren't Zydeco bands fun? They put a little hop in your step!)
