Childhood Memories

Thanks for looking. Comments always appreciated. I'm thinking of getting this framed for my DD as a birthday present next month (when she turns 13).

Journaling says:

Morgan had a total of five of these bears. She slept with them every night when she was a baby. We named them Squishy due to how soft they were. She called them 'Hm-hm'. They've been patched many times over until there was no fabric left to patch. One of them now wears pink overalls to help him stay together (overalls not pictured). Morgan's now 13, and she still LOVES and protects Squishy. She tells me he's highly insulted that he has to ear PINK overalls because...

'SQUISHY is a BOY!'

Thanks for the input Denise! I had thought about putting the stitching behind and cutting it off on the curl ... got distracted and didn't do it. I liked the hearts in the blue paper in the back but didn't think of modifying the colors to match better.

Love this. I love the different shades of pink/rose and the blue...looks great together.

Love the swirly stitching. Love the heart and 3 tags.

Denise this is really cute! I love how you incorporated the strips and tucked in your journaling.

The blue background in upper left is so much more vivid than the rest of the colors, it would help to put the baby blue there. The stitching would look really cool if it stopped at the edge of the curl on the right. Kinda like the paper was stitched, then it got curled. You might want to put the stitching on the bottom, so the ribbon can stand out a bit more. See what you think. :)
