Paintball Page(Dbl) for submission

CC Welcome. I am working on this LO out mainly for a boys will be boys call. I am looking for additional direction. I do not want to over work it but I also don't want it too simple. It has a lot of pictures on page 2 so I don't want it to come across cluttered. I used a grid png for that page. What do you guys think so far?

 

Journaling: When we started playing paintball years ago, we never dreamed that as a family we would get as into it as we did. You kids had a blast traveling to interesting places and getting to meet the Pro players. Paintball is no longer a part of our daily lives but the memories we have will last a lifetime. You boys were really good players for your age; your Dad and I were very proud of you. Paintball was a huge part of our lives for quite some time and it would not have been as much fun with out you kids there with us. We loved playing with, watching and cheering you all on.

Very cool! I love the strong colors, the staples holding the photos and the laced frame on the big photo. My only thought is that the main photo is pointing OUT of the layout and tends to lead the eye that way. I know if you flip it horizontally then that makes where you put the journaling a little more problematic. Just a thought.

Pat...I felt the exact same way. I tried it on the other page and it just didn't feel right. I guess at this point he is reading the journaling! I always try to arrange the pics where they all face inward.. Is it really really distracting? Or something the LO can overcome?

This is PERFECT for a boys-will-be-boys layout! Great job! Clean, classic lines with lots of photos that are full of action. Good luck with your submission.
