Thanksgiving Day, '03 -
In the middle of all the craziness in the house today I came into the bedroom & found you two napping together. Caeleb, you weren't too thrilled about Kai's arrival on the scene. To see you beginning to accept him, even though it's when you think we arn't looking, is wonderful to see! I know it's difficult for you to make room for another boy in the family, but as he gets bigger you'll see. He will annoy you for sure, but my prayer is that you will grow to be the best of friends. I know that at 3 you don't really "get" it, but that's okay little man. You have nothing to worry about - there is always enough love in a parent's heart.
Just look at my precious boys... one dark & one bright as the sunshine. I don't find enough time to to write down my thoughts often enough, but when I saw you I had to capture this moment, this solitary memory before it was gone. Perhaps one day you will look back on these notes & see a part of me that you never would have known.
They are so big now! I am so glad I found this picture of them, it's one of my all-time favorites. TFL!
