  1. Great layout! FYI, the part about relieving fatigue, may stem from the fact that Coke originally had cocaine as an ingredient. It still has plenty of caffeine! Also, those paintings on sides of buildings are all over the country, sorry if this bums you out, it's not just a southern thing. I think you see them more often in small towns because they have less re-building and re-vamping of current structures that you see in larger cities. http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/cocaine.asp http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola

  8. My VERY 1st LAYOUT!!! It took forever, but I did it!! I had to re-install my scanner's software, then scan the photo, then correct and enhance the photo. Pick the elements, colorize some of the elements to match, all the re-sizing and drop shadows! ...but, I DID IT! YEAH!! This photo is from my daughter's first time meeting her Kindergarten teacher last year. They had an ice cream social about a week before classes started. Melanie commented that since they didn't have any ice cream, they should have called it a "Popcicle Social"! LOL **The above is what I put on my first layout's post. I re-did the layout a bit a couple months later. I originally posted this October 11, 2005
  9. My Pretty Princess, so sweet! Her nose is a little scrunchy in the picture, but she looks so happy I bought it anyway! LOL Photo taken by Sadie's Photography Fall 2005 I covered the violets in the kit with the pink/peach roses to match the ones in the photo. The white background was not part of the kit, I was challenged by Betsy into trying something different. It took a while, I had the basic layout done just at the end of the crop, but it didn't look quite "right". I fiddled with it, and then laid it aside for a while hoping that more inspiration would come to me. I think it looks about right now! Constructive Criticism appreciated!
  10. Melanie's 7th Birthday and Halloween 2005 She is dressed as a Pirate Cheerleader. The Skull & Cross Bones are made with hearts. Betsy, I have to admit the lime green does look good here!
  11. This was my first layout. I received some wonderful feedback and constructive criticism. From that I enlarged the photo, reduced the date and added the journaling using another RAK kit element, the "Hello" tag from the Sept 05 RAK kit. I also modified some of the drop shadows to give it more depth. I'm satisfied with how it looks now, before I thought it needed "something"! LOL

    Our New Puppy!

Saturday we bought a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel! He is so cute!! These were taken from my ancient digital camera. I tubed them quickly, so they aren't the best job, but my little girl wanted to get these out to everyone! She helped me pick papers, elements and where to put the pictures! She insisted on having everything PINK. So I had to colorize everything pink! Now this is important to know, this is a BOY dog! **Please note he is chewing on his new PINK Collar! Today, we believe we have come up with a name we all agree upon, so Introducing: Cornel Buddy Winter
