Journaling:

One of the volunteer things that I do is to teach tenor

drumming through the Omaha Pipes and Drums bagpipe

band. The band is a non-profit organization

so we give back by giving free piping and drumming

lessons. I only have two students currently,

Rebecca and her mom Marilyn. Rebecca is develop-

mentally challenged but is such a delight

to work with. Because of physical limitatons, Rebecca

can’t do gigs where we have to march any distance, but

ones like this for the Scottish Society’s Highland Ball work

great for her to show her progress.

Pat - What a great way to serve. I have always loved the pipe bands. Great tartan layout as well. Congratulations to Rebecca as well.
