Precious Boys

It felt like Amanda Sok night. :)

Just to note: I think (ha! I "think" 'cause my memory is bad) that I selected just the paint on one of her painted cardboard papers and copied it to a new layer. I was going to play with the color of it is why. I made it orange...but then didn't want the whole painted background to be orange. Before I deleted the layer though, I changed the size of it to fit behind the photo. Then I duplicated the layer and applied the Sugar Coated Style to it. Then I simplified the styled layer and changed the brightness, contrast, and lowered the opacity. It let the darker orange layer show through more. Otherwise, for this layout, the sugar coating looked a little too bright. But, I love how it gave the orange "paint" some texture and thickness. Not so flat looking. Hope you followed all of that. lol

Char, what a cute picture to scrap! I love your use of the green and the orange does look like it has texture! Neat

tip! What I also thought was a cute subtle element was the title in a stenciled look at the top. Precious boys :D :D

This is soooo beautiful, Charlene. I love the pinkish and greens with the browns. I love using flowers on boy layouts! The shadows are amazing.
