Adorable card, Sherry! Love the paper with the frayed threads under the CUTE crockpot, and the recipe on the page. (oh, and the recipe looks tasty, too! ) -
This is a family favorite - easy, hearty, and delicious. If you forget to set the beans to soak overnight, you can boil them for two minutes and just let them soak for a couple of hours. -

Weekly Winner Jan16, 2010 TheUltimate Sacrifice Mom & Dad had a hard road together, and it was maybe the hardest at the end. This is my tribute to them, to their 50 years together, and especially to him. Journaling: And so, after 50 years together you sit across from an empty chair. Hard to believe that she is gone. You married, raised your children, went through so much together. And at the end you gave until there was almost nothing left to give. No one could have been more faithful in caring for her daily needs as you were. No one could have been more patient. Even at her most difficult, through your own frustration and aggravation with her, you were tender and loving. I pray that as time goes on, the memory of these last difficult years fades a little and that the good memories of earlier times will be the ones that persist. It is a bleak winter day.
