My 3rd- or 4th-great grandfather married three times in five years. His first two wives each died shortly after marrying -- the times were hard on women and I often wonder if they died of disease or childbirth or what . . . Harriet was his third wife and the one who bore all his children. I inherited this badly damaged photo of her from my grandma, and I am happy to sing the praises of the geniuses at Adobe who gave me the tools to restore it.
