Amish Farmer in the Field

I had so much fun playing with the vintage style yesterday that I kept on. This photo was taken in May, at the same time as yesterday's Susquehanna layout. The skies were dark and in the very far distance was this Amish farmer hurrying his horse back to the barn. I think the horse looks a bit distorted.... he is a huge workhorse walking deep in hay. The farmer is behind him and barely visible. Couldn't zoom in any closer and of course I would not photograph the face of an Amish person since it is against their beliefs. Anyway, my Mom sure had a lot of pictures hanging in the house which look like this- lots of paint textures (thanks to Brandy's

Painting Textures Styles!) and darkened with age, thanks to Syndee's Photo Transfer Frames SSEmbellishments. They sure make it fun to play here!

WOW! What a knockout! It is such a beautiful layout. The photo has a great proportion and the styling just adds to it, along with the borders. Well done!

This is absolutely wonderful, Dot! I love the texture in the sky & the gold swirls of the frame. It does look like an old landscape painting. I really like this school, too, with the huge sky. The large horse makes it look even more 'old style'. I just love this!

Wonderful layout! It looks just like an oil painting. Great color, and your blending/extraction results look really great.
