Color Challenge 8/17. Ottoman Gardens pg 2

Alrighty. This is just ONE little portion of the St Louis botanical gardens called the Ottoman garden. We went to the Botanical gardens when the inlaws were in town from NJ back in May. The text on the top corner says

"Plantings in this garden represent what would have been grown in an imperial garden during the Ottoman empire in what is present-day Turkey, consisting primarily of natives or naturalized Turkish flora. Also included are prized exotic introductions into the Ottoman Empire and St. Louis climate-tolerant plants whose appearance mimics those of non-viable Turkish types. Within the garden’s private courtyard, plantings include citrus and various hardy fruits, fragrant roses, classic Turkish tulips and drifts of bulbs, aromatic herbs, pomegranate and colorful perennials."

(I got that from the botanical gardens' website.

It's labeled on the bottom "Brian and Dad, 5/17/13"

Beautiful page, photos and colors. I love how you placed your beautiful photos on the page. I love botanical gardens, and I'm always visiting the one near me in New York. I never get tired of it. Love the large photo of the water fountain/pool and all the lush green plants. That chair is beautiful and so are the mosaic tiles on the walls. I could sit in that chair and relax, watch, and listen to the water falling into the pool.

Thanks, guys. We stayed at the gardens for hours and still didn't get to see it all. I have hundreds of photos from there still. Japanese, chinese, woodland, pincushion and even Iris gardens.
