Text: This has been a busy month for us health wise. Mike saw the skin Dr. (all good) and I saw the ortho Dr. for my wrist. Gave me a cortisone shot and it has worked wonders. We both got our flu and Covid boosters. Mike tried to give blood and they wouldn't take it. Said his pulse was skipping too much. He saw the Dr. and had some tests done. Result is he has A-Fib and is now on a blood thinner. Mike and Jean celebrated their 85th birthdays. We had hoped to go down to Vista to be with Jean, but things didn't work out. Leslie, Nik, Braden, and Charlie came and spent a long weekend with us. First time they had visited since March 2020. We took them hiking in Mary S. Young Park and also went to the Cove. Got a lot of family group photos there. The boys are getting so big. The older Leslie gets the more she looks like Janine. We saw two bald eagles, a male and female, and a pretty red-orange caterpillar while on our walk. It was a really nice visit and the weather was just beautiful. Had the tree company out to see where to plant the 2 new trees. Will happen sometime in December. We also checked out a new, to us, State park. The L.L. 'Stub' Stewart State Park, about an hour drive from us. The Banks-Vernonia State Trail runs through the park. It is an old railroad bed and is about 20 miles long. We hiked about 7 miles and got some neat pictures. There were some of the prettiest orange fungus growing on one of the trails. The Stub Park is in the middle part of the state trail. We want to go back and hike that trail in both directions sometime. It has an old wooden railroad bridge that is suppose to be very photogenic. Has been a very busy month scrap wise also. There were 3 challenges I participated in. I made 81 pages!! Amazing! I also won a few of the GCs for a few of the challenges. Had a gorgeous sunset, really vibrant pink. Some cedar waxwings also visited.

Eighty one layouts, wow that's amazing.  I enjoyed reading your journaling and looking through your photos and your page is so pretty.   It sounds like it was a lovely month spent with family, that's wonderful.

Wow, that's a lot of scrapbook pages! I hope you guys stay in good health.  I love the curves in this layout. You did a good job of balancing out the photos.
