  3. I'm so glad you journaled the story! There's no such thing as a "tacky" tree. You have some true treasures there and you've created a treasured account of why. Good for you!

Hmmm...kind of reminds you of the Tree of Doom! Seriously, this is a lovely piece of Folk Art. Thanks for sharing all your pretty cards!

This is darling, too! What a CUTE reindeer! I'm afraid I might not every send it off, though. It might wind up decorating the tree!

Oh! This is FUN! I shall have to remember this. Super idea!
  10. I love these paper folding techniques. They are not only fun and beautiful, but so very unique. This card is more than lovely!
  11. When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought this was a banquet sever loaded with goodies. Well, it is - kind of ! My favorite tradition at Christmas, too. By the time my kids leave home, they'll have a good start to do their own trees. Thanks for sharing this lovely LO with us. (It's still mouth-watering!)
  12. This is so bright and fun - just like Hanukkah! I love that dreidel border and the light, not so traditional colors. TFS!

    Traditions

This Christmas Toile makes me think of England. I love these soft non-traditional hues of traditional Christmas colors. The way you've used grouped circles also makes me think about a Kissing Ball. What a fun way to remember!
  15. Oh, WOW! What an eye-catching, gorgeous LO. And what fun tradition! I think it would never get boring. Thanks for telling us about it!

    Glee

How fun! Both the board AND the LO! Wonderful use of white space to draw you right into the action. I like the simplicity, too. TFS!
  17. America's First People have a very special place in my heart. And you've given them a very special place on the Net! This is a wonderful 2 pager. I commend you for journaling! It's too often left out. Beautiful title work. Heck, this is a great LO! Perfect all around!
  18. I love that background paper, too. It would be hard to find anything more perfect! Repeating the pics is a wonderful idea - it's created the illusion of depth. Your photos are gorgeous and deserve this beautiful home!
  19. Super use of negative space here. The pics are allowed to shine and draw you in, the buttons keep you moving along. Well done!
  20. What a neat thing to do - using your mother's own words to tell the story from HER journal. That's wonderful! This is such a sweet, lovely LO, a great way to keep and share the memory!
  21. Oh, well done! Your LO not only showcases the pictures with a lovely home, but it is so true to the time frame. I always encourage people to do this when they do heritage LOs. The paper is so reminiscent of soft calicoes, the colors very right and the sweet simplicity of your LO shows us a bit less complicated time, but one full of joy at the war's end. Very well done!

    Anna Blunck

Hooray - you journaled her story! I am always so delighted when I see the stories in print with the LOs. Truly a treasure. You go, girl! Have you researched her birth information at FamilySearch? My 2X great grandparents were German Prussians, and I have found a fair amount of extracted records information n them at that location. It's worth a gander if you haven't!
  23. Ooooo, gorgeous! I really love the colors you've chosen and what wonderful papers! That picture is to die for! All in all I just love this - it went straight into my favorites!
  24. What a great series of heritage pages! I love your choice of colors here - heritage doesn't have to be all in shades of beige! Love that Beagle Club shot, but my fave is that tiny little fellow in the corner. What a charmer!
