My mother took this photo of myself and two of my younger sisters in Montreal. I'm the blond on the far left. I don't know exactly how old we are, but the one with the plastic turtle on her head (I no longer remember why) is three years my junior and the brunette, four years. I have had this photo as my iPhone 'lock screen' for some time now and when I found the quote I thought it was perfect. I have literally been carrying a piece of my childhood with me.

I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the "Creating is So Much Fun" gallery. Well, it's here now. These're the ornaments I made for my first ever Christmas tree in my own place. I was very excited to get it up even though it barely fits in my little room and I didn't really have many ornaments. I did however have a printer, tonnes of supplies and some brand new gorgeous Martha Stewart glitter (I do love glitter). These are the all from the Nutcracker Suite collection.

I was collecting addresses for my Christmas card list and got a message from a new friend I'd met this summer requesting a Chanukah card instead. Here's the result. I'm a bit worried it looks too birthday-y though.

Every year since I was 12 I've made the same salad for Thanksgiving. This year is the first year I made it in my own kitchen. When things change tradition feels so much more important.

This is my first LO/Upload in AGES due to some technical dificulties and I was a little worried about how rusty I'd be. I think it turned out rather well, all things considered, but I would definitely welcome feedback (both positive and constructive)! I recently went a Harry Potter con in Orlando, FLA and one of the draws was the live Wrock shows they had. I love Wrock. I love the atmosphere, the music, the whole attitude of welcoming and 'come as you are' and supporting literacy. I plan to print this on nice paper and frame them for my friends as decorations. I had a heck of a time trying to make the 'moments' readable. Journaling: Christmas is a great time for getting together with old friends. Its the reason there are so many parties and get-togethers this season. Great friends, great moments, great Christmas.
