Feb 8 Color Challenge - Olympic Colors

Somehow I couldn't get blue to work here, but I did get the other Olympic ring colors into this layout. :) Thanks for a fun color challenge!

The birds were walking near a local pond last week, but I have no idea what kind of birds they are. Their beaks are yellow, though the yellow doesn't show up very well against the grass background. If you have an idea of what they might be, please let me know. Thanks!

These are Common Gallinules, I do believe (Gallinula galeata). They have the most unusual bills, and I think it's really clever how you borrowed their red and yellow colors for your page! The circle mats and "bubble wrap" are really cool. The little heart-shaped flower is perfect for a February page - cute!

Great page Diane! Interesting birds! I REALLY like the black and white circle behind the photos, the contrast is great! I really like the blending and the way you brought circles in with the mats and the circles in background. I let it slide that there is no blue.... this time. ;)

These look like what we call "water hens". I like your use of red and yellow with a touch of green - nice bright page.

Love the use of pattern and texture here Diane! It should look really busy but it doesn't! The use of the repeating circles is a great idea. Fun photos too!

I'll have to be on the lookout for those birdies here too. Can't say I've seen them here but they are cute :) Great use of the dots paper and the circle mat. Love how you used the colors.

What fun photos! It's great that others knew what they were. I like how you incorporated the Olympic colors found in your photos. I also like stamped background and layered design.
