I still struggle with scrapsimple so I gave it a shot here.

I used COL_VivaMexico. and a brush from my stash on background

Wow, me too struggle with SS so I’m impressed and this is really gorgeous!   I love your Mexican-themed background and the colors came out great and I really like your photos, too! :)
