Text: We went to Lost Lake on Mt. Hood. Has been on my bucket list for a long time. It was to be clear and no rain. There was a downpour as we started into The Gorge. Fortunately it stopped before Hood River as we started up into the mountains. Was still very cloudy with a few sun breaks here and there, but it was fairly warm. We had a lovely time. Only saw three people on the trails and camp areas while we were there. Mt. Hood was completely socked in and I wasn't able to get any pictures of it reflecting in the lake. Next year. Mike had a temporary crown put on. Next on our bucket list to do was Mirror Lake. The forecast was to be cold and clear. It was cold, but when we got to the lake it was NOT clear. No reflection of Hood to be gotten. It was a great hike, four and a half miles, last part very steep. Got some great pictures anyway. Next year. Had the puppies for an afternoon. Played ball. Mike made me breakfast one morning. We went with Janine to Hopkins Demonstration Forest and had a lovely hike. It is in a canyon so lots of up and down. Was a perfect day. We also went to Silver Fall State Park. Hadn't been there in years and hadn't hiked the waterfalls since 1985. We did the lower loop, five miles, and saw four beautiful falls. SG 16thAnniversary was great and I received several gift certificates. A few things and some roses are still trying to bloom, also the Autumn Joy Sedum, otherwise the yard looks very worn and tattered. Autumn is over and Winter is here.
