@Belle @Laura @Jane in N.Z This plant is called Fan Flower or scaevola. It is a drought resistant perennial. This photo below might show it better. This plant was blooming after a record breaking 40!days of 100 F plus heat in the Fort Worth Botanical Garden. Fairly new to the US, apparently it originated in Australia. That plant identification app is a wonder!
