My Mom’s parents were from Italy (my Grandpa was an immigrant) and she was the third girl so didn’t have a Grandparent to be named after.  Her aunt suggested this name - in Italian (& on her Baptismal certificate) the name is “Addolorata” which means “Mother of Sorrows”.  I think it’s a pretty name, but she never liked the connotation.

It certainly is a pretty name but I can understand about the connotation :)
