We celebrated Veteran’s Day by placing our Marine on guard again. He was a gift from our daughter in law while our son was deployed in the Middle East. So grateful for his service, and very glad he is home and safe.
Our little trees have lost almost all of their leaves, It looks like Fall is really here.
Ivy is pretty smart! She won’t come in the house when we call her, so for two days we managed to outsmart her by leaving her lightweight leash attached to her collar when she was outside. That way we could step on the leash to catch her. The third day she chewed through it and ran around as if to laugh and say “I’m free!” We’ll have to come up with a better idea now.
On Thursday the 15th mom’s nursing home had a Thanksgiving dinner for families. There was a ton of food, and it was delicious! They really outdid themselves. We are thankful for all of the staff there.
Our ladies group at church hosted a wreath making workshop. We learned how to craft mesh wreaths, and had a ton of fun! Lots of fellowship and snacks, and we each have a new Christmas decoration to display at home. I want to make some smaller ones now that I know what I'm doing!
