This layout was accepted for publication and was published in the June 12, 2014 issue of "Scrapbooking Memories". Besides being thrilled, I was most amazed as the release date was 60 years exactly to the day my parents were married and this photo was taken. :)

This is my Mom on her wedding day. I love looking at this photo because it was taken in my Grandma's bedroom which I remember being in as a little girl. I had a lot of fun doing this - especially figuring out how to emphasize her mirror image and I was pleased with how it turned out! :)

For this layout I used:

GWI Pearl Essence Collection

This looks fantastic Marilyn! I love the softness of the background and you've blended it beautifully. It is a wonderful photo and the ribbon and rose are the perfect accompaniment.

Wowy! Yes, publishing! This also reminds me a little of how I looked only without the glasses. You really did your mother proud on this layout. You have just the perfect touches for the photo, and the mirror is genius.

Absolutely stunning. I would adore wearing that dress and seeing how beautifully you scrapped this gorgeous photo of your mum just shows it off even more... I know you have a 'frame aversion' but you used one wonderfully here and you did an amazing job - this is so striking and it truly is a favourite of mine. Outstanding! The word art is the perfect subtle focus on the side too :-)

Marilyn this is a superb layout! I love the blending of the paper and photo and how you used the frame around the mirror image. The single rose and long ribbon look so pretty along the delicate line of your Mom's dress. Your title is perfect for this layout... it truly is Simply Beautiful! Thank you so much for using the Pearl Essence Collection to scrap this wonderful memory.

Lovely page! I like the effect you achieved highlighted the mirrored reflection. My parents were married in 1954, too, and they have a similar mirrored photo of my mom among their wedding pictures. I must keep your idea in mind if I ever scrap that photo.
