Who remembers Huck.

He came to visit me in South Africa. We took him all over to see the many places of interest in Cape Town. One time, he went with all the Crazy Cats for lunch. He was such a naughty boy, by the time lunch was over, he was swinging from the chandelier. I promise, we never gave him a drop of wine. He must have sneaked some.

How awesome! It sounds like Huck was a bit mischievous. He had some fun travels. Great page. Thanks for participating in the challenge.

I remember Huck!  He came to New Jersey and traveled to Vermont with me too!  Amazing that he was all the way to SA, wow.
Haha, your photos are great and your journaling made me laugh.   That Huck did a few naughty things with me, too.   I like the purple you used and the fancy lace across the bottom.

PS Huck was retired to Tiza - I sent him to her since she was an original who got him, when no one was looking to host him!   He sure was a lot of fun and I had lots of fun adventures and photos with him.   Now that I think of it there are some I never scrapped.  Hmmmmmm.....

@Celestine Huck was sent to the Scrap Girls who wanted to host him. I was lucky that I also got a turn. I went to some awesome places with him. At the time he was here, I took him to the Waterfront where they were celebrating Mandela's birthday with the Navy band and a huge cake. I also took him to meet some of his cousins at the Giraffe house. Went he went back, he had his own Cape Town passport. I was fun.

It must have been so much fun to see Huck pop up with different ScrapGirls in their layouts. When was this done?

So was Huck traded among ScrapGirls for photo opps? I haven't heard about this! Do tell! Great layout!

Yes, he visited in line from what was then a pretty long list of ScrapGirls who wanted to host him.  I recall that at a Meet-up in the mid-west (maybe Conda @SodScrap or Carla @CRS or Angie @angleigh would remember?  I think there was a photo op/field trip to the Zoo and a few Hucks were purchased and passed around for photo ops.    Mikelle sent him to me and but by then there wasn't a lot of interest.  I had him here for awhile then contacted Tiza who was one of the originals and she retired him to her house.   But yes!  It was fun seeing the layouts, fun and mischief the Huck was involved in.   @Belle I think I might have gotten Huck around 2012?  I'm going to see if I can find a page of mine!

Thanks for the more complete answer! I remember many years ago it was a thing to pass around something or take a sign. I had totally forgotten about that! I love that the ScrapGirls did this and it sounds like it was so much fun!

Great layout Belle! It's fun to have all these memories pop up!  Huck did originate from a SG meet up. It must have been St. Louis. We picked him up at the gift shop at the zoo - and the rest is history! I recall we started with one, but then the demand became so great a second one was eventually purchased. I have a layout with Huck dated 2010 - when I find it in the gallery I'll add a link.
