The doctor said he was giving Nikki a 'wheel alignment.'  She has had problems with her feet since the day she was born.

1 A distal femoral osteotomy is a procedure whereby a surgical fracture is created at the end of the femur and the shape of the bone is changed.

2 Medial patella femoral ligament  (MPFL) is a surgical procedure used to correct recurring kneecap dislocation. MPFL reconstruction uses a tissue graft to reconstruct the ligament and hold the kneecap in the correct position on the femur.

3 Arthroscopic debridement is a surgical procedure that removes the broken down bits of cartilage and tissues to help reduce pain and improve movement.

That is a major reconstruction! I am glad doctors were able to help Nikki. I love the word Positive, and how it is in different colors. The photos and journaling document everything so well.

I remember you scrapping about NIkki's' feet and legs, brave girl for her surgeries since a little girl. Your photos tell your story so well and your page is really beautiful.   Sending my best to Nikki and hope she feels better soon!

Oh wow, that looks like quite the surgery!  I hope she's recovering well, and the surgery will help with any discomfort or loss of function she's had so far.
