  2. I listened to an audiobook version and finished it in a day. Cute story. Thankful I don’t know of a “Margaret” personally. 😆😬
  3. My goodness Lukas is getting so big! You did a great job clipping all that cuteness to the letters of his name! Love your cluster on the frame. For sure your page is some kind of special!!
  4. I have that set of masks and didn't think to use them. This one is perfect for you gorgeous photo and so is your BG! Love the quote. Simple but stunning page!
  5. This is gorgeous! I love the cluster with the corner stitching and how you tucked the photo. Also the use of white space is well done.
  6. You did a fabulous job with this I love it! You and I have the same mindset with less is more when it comes to embellishments. You were smart to "let it go" because it's not too much here. Everything helps connect it all together. The photos are absolutely adorable and the way you staggered them is really eye catching and I love the arrows to put all the important info.
  7. In the discussion thread we were asked which sister did we relate to most. I said the found sister Evangeline so I scrapped my story related to that. I had a different layout in my mind but as typical with me, I woke up in the middle of the night with a totally different idea and here it is.
  8. You are too kind, Thank you!
  9. From the album: Book Club Layouts

I had to blur out the face of some people as I technical don't know them. Supplies used; BHS_CKH_WellRead VP, EBA_GenealogyRecords_Paper_Tree, EBA_SSEmb_GenealogyCharts_Pedigree-4Gen, bhs_scrapping_wordart4_0001_story-to-tell, SNU_SSPaper_ArtMixBorders-Stitched_Paint4, SNU_SSStyles_ShadowMe6301-Grey, AFT_SSStyles_PaperBorders_6401_SM Journaling reads; Growing up, I was told that I was adopted. That my biological father was a prominent D.C. lawyer and that my biological mother was his mistress. Because he was so important the adoption was held secretively in a judge’s chambers and that there was no adoption papers. I also was told that the woman who I knew as my adoptive mother had given birth to a baby that just happened to be born on the same day I was but had died. Her doctor told her he knew of a baby they could adopt, me. Fast forward to 2013. After something my oldest daughter mentioned, I started to search for some kind of adoption record but found nothing. I learned about a genetic DNA testing company, 23andMe. So I took the test, got my results and thought now what? A short time later I was contacted from a young man who said we were a strong match but we didn’t know how we were related. The following summer with the help of a search angel I was given a copy of this young man’s grandfather’s obit. The deceased man had lived in the same city as my adoptive parents had lived and their oldest daughter had been born. I sent her a copy (my adoptive parents were no longer alive by this time. i asked her if she recognized any of the names in the obit, thinking it was highly unlikely as she was 12 when I was born and who knew how big the city was at that time. I didn’t hear from her about it for awhile as we were both busy with our lives. When I asked her about it. She told me she had taken the same DNA test and it came back that were were half sisters! She had recolonized the deceased man’s name as being really good friends/neighbors of our parents. I eventual explained it to the young man who explained it to his dad, one of my new found half brothers. This man and I exchanged a couple of emails and both agreed we were not interested in meeting. The young man sent me a few pictures. Over the last 10 years I have been working though the knowledge that I was lied to most of my life. I’m thankful that I was able to find out the truth before my sister passed away and that we were able to talk it through. And even though I was lied to I’m grateful to be alive.

  19. I've had this problem before but I don't remember if it was before or after any updates. lol! I search online and found what you were talking about their pre-programmed "Desert" theme. I looked in my settings and under Contrast Themes I have "None" selected. I only use Dark theme on my iPad/iPhone, TBH I didn't know you could do change on a PC. I also found this article but I don't know if it would be useful to you. Technology can be wonderful yet so frustrating at times.
  20. I found this out by accident. I was trying to enlarge a photo to view it better and it made an extraction and I was like what is happening! LOL! Your page and photos adorable as is Julianne. I love the scattering of "coins" and the circle of stitched hearts. Interesting looking bagels and edible shamrocks. Sweet, sweet page! 💚
